Concrete Repair and Protective Coatings

Poly-Epoxy Primer 21 – Poly-epoxy Primer/Filler (2:1)

Custom Linings® Polyamine Epoxy 21 is a two component, 100% solids, liquid applied, material with unique penetrating characteristics making for an ideal primer, filler (when blended with approved granulars) and bonding agent for granular quartz/grantie flooring systems.

• FEATURES: Seamless Application, 100% Solids, Solvent Free, Low Viscosity, Low Odor, and Excellent Adhesion.
• TYPICALLY USED FOR: Priming Concrete, Priming Urethane Surfaces, as a Plywood Primer and as a Slurry/Troweble Filler.
• COVERAGE: Primer 21 when used as a primer-coverage will be: 200-300 square feet per gallon. When used as a flooring material binder, coverage is: 100 sq ft per gallon. Primer 21 is NOT for metal.
• APPLICATION: Primer 21 can be roll applied, brushed or airless sprayed. As a flooring aggregate binder/flooring primer, 21 should be spread with a squeggee and backrolled prior to aggregate application.

Epoxy Block Filler (EBF)

Primer EBF is a two component, 100% solids, liquid applied, epoxy-polyamine filler/surfacer with unique characteristic of sealing pores in concrete.

• FEATURES: low odor, solvent free and excellent adhesion.
• TYPICALLY USED FOR: Concrete, Glass Reinforced Plastics and Polyurethane Elastomeric Surfaces.
• APPLICATION: Primer EBF can be applied using an airless sprayer, brush, phenolic resin core roller or trowel. Coverage rate will vary depending on the porosity of the substrate.

Topgard 1110 (aliphatic, industrial, colored or clear)

Topgard 1110 is a two component, aliphatic polyester polyurethane for use in moderate to severe chemical environments in indoor or outdoor applications.

• FEATURES: Color and Gloss Retention, Impact Resistant, Chemical Resistance (see Data Sheet for specifics), Meets California AQMD Requirements.
• TYPICAL USES: Concrete, Plywood, Pedestrian Traffic, Vehicular Traffic, Power Generating Plants, Storage Tanks, Food Processing Facilities, Petrochemical Plants, Steel Structures & Bridges, Aircraft Hangars, Milling and Mining Industry, Manufacturing Plants, Pulp and Paper Industry and Warehouse Floors.
• APPLICATION: Can be applied through a wide variety of options including Brush, Roller and Airless Sprayer (see Data Sheet for specifics). Topgard is 1110 easy to clean, chemical resistant, hard, with 30% elongation and was originally designed for Aircraft hanger use.

CL-260 (4:1)

CL-260 is a two component, fast setting, rapid curing, solvent free ( Contains some high boiling colorless plasticizers. ) , flexible, high performance, and high solids urethane elastomer that can be applied to suitably prepared interior or exterior concrete, plywood and metal surfaces. Due to its fast gel time, CL-260 is suitable for applications in temperatures as low as 20°F. It may be applied in a single or multiple applications. CL-260 is also relatively insensitive to moisture and temperature allowing applications in various temperatures and humidities.

• FEATURES: Non-Gassing, Recoatable, Coats Green (Vented) Concrete, Seamless, Can Be Applied at Any Thickness, Good Thermal Stability, Good Chemical Resistance, Meets USDA Criteria, Excellent Low Temperature Flexibility and Interior or Exterior Applications.
• TYPICAL USES: Vehicular Traffic Areas, Sundecks & Balconies, Stalls, Wash Racks, Kennel Runs, Exterior & Interior Pedestrian Traffic Surfaces such as Walkways, Patios, Stairways and Interior Surfaces such as Floors & Mechanical Rooms.
• COVERAGE: CL-260 may be applied at any rate to achieve desired thickness. Theoretical coverage for 1 mil thickness is one gallon per 1520 sq. ft.
• APPLICATION: For best results use a squeegee or notched trowel to spread CL-260 evenly over the entire surface. CL-260 may be applied at any ambient temperature. Curing time will depend on temperature.

Concrete Repair Coatings (machine applied)

CL-Crete 150 is a two component, liquid applied, aromatic, polyurethane-alloy specifically designed to repair concrete and masonry substrates. The new surface will protect concrete from weather, corrosion, erosion, freeze/thaw spalling and chemical attack.

• FEATURES: Waterproof, Excellent Abrasion Resistance, Repairs Can Be Made in Hot or Cold Weather, Rapid Cure Allows Traffic to Resume in 30 Minutes, Remains Flexible in a Wide Range of Temperatures.
• TYPICAL USES: Hairline Cracks and Thin, Wide or Deep Cracks CL-Crete® 150 should be applied using a proportioning dispensing system.

CL-Crete 300 is a two component, low odor, liquid applied, aliphatic, polyurethane-alloy concrete repair system designed to repair concrete and masonry substrates. The new surface will protect concrete from weather, corrosion, erosion, freeze/thaw spalling and chemical attack.

Custom Linings 6881

Custom Linings 6881 is a medium to fast set, quick curing, 100% solids, flexible, two component spray polyurea that can be applied to suitably prepared concrete and metal surfaces. Its relatively slow curing makes it suitable for application as a waterproofing decking system with enough open time to broadcast the aggreagtes. It may be applied in single or multiple applications on horizontal surfaces and is relatively insensitive to moisture and temperature allowing application in most temperatures.

• FEATURES: Enough open time to broadcast the aggregates, Zero VOC, No Toxic Vapors, Odorless, Meets USDA Criteria, 100% Solids, Seamless, Low Permeance Rate, Low Temperature Flexibility, Non-Reactive, Good Chemical Resistance, Excellent Color Retention, Excellent thermal stability and Installed With or Without Reinforcement in Transitional Areas.
• TYPICAL USES: Airports, Warehouse Floors, Parking Garage Decks, Walkways and Balconies, Mining Operations, Food Processing Plants, Landfill Containment and Water and Waste Water Treatment
• COVERAGE: Custom Linings 6881 may be applied at any rate to achieve desired thickness. Theoretical coverage for 1 mil thickness is one gallon per 1600 sq. ft.
• APPLICATION: Custom Linings 6881 should be applied using a plural component, heated, high pressure 1:1 spray equipment.

Caulking Materials

Custom Linings Caulking Products are used on interior and exterior horizontal concrete floors and surfaces for control joint fill or to repair random cracks.

Custom Linings Caulking Products come in two varieties:

Machine Dispensed or Hand Mixed:

CL-Caulk 80* is the main and most used caulk in our line of products. It is machine dispensed using a 1:1 low pressure unit with a static mixer. CL-Caulk 80 is a two component, rapid setting, self leveling, aromatic, 100% solids polyurea caulking. Surfaces can be utilized to light traffic within 90 minutes of application. (formula CL-Caulk 50 is also available for larger moving joints).

CL-Caulk HM* (Hand-Mix) is a two component, modified aliphatic, rapid setting, self leveling, 100% solids polyurea caulking compound. Surfaces can be utilized within 6-8 hours of application. (formula is also available as CL-Caulk JF, a Jet Fuel/Chemical Resistant variety).
